The ANCESTOR is a short CG concept film produced by Mixanthropy, exploring mimicry, hybridity, biomorphism, and solitude of identity, and a source of ancient futuristic vigor that connects the human body with the terrain. This short CG film narrates the story of five reincarnations of ancestors that are dressed in fur-covered avatars each evocative of one kind of mimicry, extending mimicry from a natural phenomenon to a surreal choice. Avatars in an alternative dimension, a mythical visual landscape, the ANCESTOR explores human’s solitude and power stemmed from ancestral chimerism.
